National Healthy Lunch Day raises awareness about the need to make healthy choices at lunchtime. This day will ignite a dialogue about the importance of healthy eating and move the country toward healthier lunch habits on Tuesday, November 15, and beyond.
Get Fit, Don’t Sit Day MN – May 2017

Twin Cities Tour de Cure – Saturday, June 3, 2017
Tour de Cure raises funds to support the ADA mission. The Twin Cities ride begins and ends at Minnehaha Falls. All routes are well marked and fully supported with frequent rest stops, SAG wagons, mechanical support and plentiful food and beverage. Camp Needlepoint – August 2017
Camp Needlepoint, a residential camp for children with diabetes ages 8-16 years, holds two one-week sessions. Camp Daypoint, a day camp for children with diabetes ages 5-9 years, holds one five day session. The camps have been serving thousands of children with diabetes for over 50 years. Rochester Tour de Cure – September 2017
The newly refaced Rochester ride features a fall event starting at the YMCA Parking Lot, near Soldier Field. You can still expect wonderful, safe routes for all ages and abilities, but now you have all summer to train. With an expanded after party, come see why our motto is Ride. Party. Stop Diabetes. Twin Cities Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes – Saturday, September 2017
Step Out Walk to Stop Diabetes is one of the ADA’s top fundraising events nationwide. Join us at the General Mills outdoor campus in Golden Valley as we walk to help raise awareness and funds for diabetes research, programs, advocacy and information. Start the morning with our kids diabetes dash, then choose the 1 mile or 5K route for walkers and runners. Visit the vendor tents and Kids Zone. All walker that raise funds or make a donation will enjoy massages, team photos, a light breakfast, live music and more. The is a non-competitive run/walk. Step Out Walk to Stop Diabetes (Mankato, Stillwater) – Saturday, October 7, 2017
Step Out Walk To Stop Diabetes is the ADA’s top fundraising event nationwide. Join one of the these three Minnesota walks to help raise vital funds for diabetes research, programs, advocacy and information. Attend any one of these unique events with family members, friends and co-workers. It is a day for fitness, food and fun with the same mission in mind of finding a cure for diabetes.
